PETUCCI RESPONSIBLE FOR CRASH, SAYS
DOVIZIOSO
A
ndrea Dovizioso has since
come out swinging for being
taken out of the April 9 Argen-
tine MotoGP for the second
year in a row, but this time not
at the other rider involved in the
accident.
Dovi was punted out of the
race by a crashing Aleix Espar-
garo, the Spaniard running over
to the stricken Ducati rider to
apologize; however Dovizioso
blames Pramac Ducati rider
Danilo Petrucci for the incident.
Speaking to Autosport.com,
Dovizioso said, "When I was be-
hind Danilo and he had finished
completely the rear tire, he was
riding in a bad way. He stopped
a lot of riders, braking in a
strange way, I think too much.
Everybody tries to use his own
style, but in the way he uses it,
it was very bad. I tried to over-
take him inside and he braked
later and closed the door. Like
this it's very bad because you
don't give the possibility to do
something. You can't brake like
him, he's heavier and he's able
to brake harder, this is not fair. It
wasn't over the limit, but this is
not fair. That created the crash. I
almost hit him, and Aleix made a
mistake for that maneuver.
"For sure the mistake was
from Aleix, but everything lead-
ing up to that was Danilo." CN
YAMAHA RECALLS FJ-09, FZ-09 AND XSR900
Y
amaha has issued a recall for the FJ-09,
FZ-09 and XSR900 for the handlebar
clamp bolts. According to the recall, not
enough locking agent was applied to the
bolts during assembly, which could cause
them to come loose and the bar to move
positions, resulting in a possible loss of
control and crash.
Yamaha will notify owners, and dealers
will replace the lower handlebar holder, free
of charge. The recall is expected to begin
this month. Owners may contact Yamaha
customer service at 1-800-962-7926. Ya-
maha's number for this recall is 990114.
