CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES PRESENTED BY MAXXIS AND DIRT BIKE
45 minutes, completing 20 laps.
Only six other riders finished on
the same lap as Sutherlin.
A huge turnout of fans and
competitors attended, and with
temperatures in the mid-80s,
weather was perfect, as was
Sutherlin's race. Well, almost.
It was Tremaine who snagged
the holeshot on his RPM FMF
Maxxis-backed KTM 250 in the

ing fourth, Sutherlin quickly made
passes in the asphalt section

the first lap. From there, he put
his EnduroCross experience to
good use as he ran away from the
field for the victory. He took the
checkers a half-minute ahead of
Tremaine.
G
ary Sutherlin dominated
the Pro Motorcycle race
at The Orleans Hotel &
Casino round of the 2017 WORCS
Series to claim his second vic-
tory of the season. Ty Tremaine
finished second, ahead of Robby
Bell, Justin Seeds and Eric Yorba.
Unlike most WORCS race,
the Las Vegas race was held at
night and on an entirely man-
made course that utilized both
the inside of the Orleans Arena
and the parking lots that surround
the hotel/casino and arena. The
outdoor sections featured a mix
of hard-packed dirt and asphalt,
as well as metal ramp for jumps.
In the arena, there was a log
section, a sand pit, several large
tractor-tire sections and a big-air
double jump. The winner, Suther-
lin, finished the race in just under
