li Tomac has certainly picked the right time
to get hot, as the Monster Energy Kawa-
saki Team rider collected his third straight
450SX-class victory, his latest coming at the Lucas
Oil Stadium in Indiana. Never before has Tomac
won three supercross races in a row in the premier
division. The result of his recent success, Tomac
has narrowed the points gap between him and
450SX-class leader Ryan Dungey to just 12 with six
races left. This one is far from over.
Unfortunately for Dungey, the three-time SX
champ dropped a few extra points to Tomac after
finishing third, getting little—okay, no—help from his
teammate Marvin Musquin, who passed Dungey
on the 14th lap of what would be a 20-lap main
event. Despite seeing his points lead dwindle
quite rapidly the past three races, Dungey could
