PALMER WOWS 'EM EN ROUTE TO EWS VICTORY
"W
ild" Wally Palmer had
the crowd in awe as he
jammed to victory at the AMA
East Hare Scramble Series/
VXCS round in Garysburg, North
Carolina, March 18-19.
The AMA/VXCS drew a
record number of entries at the
NCCAR—North Carolina Center
for Automotive Research—facil-
ity. Rain was in the forecast for
Friday and Saturday, and rain
it did. Despite the rain, ap-
proximately 275 riders were in
attendance, including bikes,
quads and UTVs. This was also
VXCS's first year to host an AMA
East HS. Surprisingly, the major-
ity of the riders were from the
north, as they ventured south to
escape the 2-3 feet of snow that
had recently fallen.
In the two-wheel main event,
there were approximately 200
racers, including local favorite
Robby Norwood, Brando Nero,
Kyle Honeycutt and several oth-
ers who were going to do battle
with 2016 AMA East Champion
and ECEA Champion Kyle Mc-
Donal and Palmer. Also on the
front line was D6's Hunter Bush.
When the green flag dropped
it was Palmer with the holeshot
onto the 9.5-mile course. The
"Wild" Wally Palmer made some
new fans after winning the AMA
EHS race in North Carolina.
