SUPERCROSS ROUND 10 / MARCH 11, 2017 DAYTONA INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY / DAYTONA BEACH, FLORIDA P62 MONSTER ENERGY AMA SUPERCROSS SERIES My Own Race: 21 JASON ANDERSON 3RD 450SX Rockstar Energy Husqvarna's Jason Anderson has had a tough season in a lot of ways, but more often than that he's very close to the front. In Daytona, he got back on the podium. "I've been off the podium, just in fourth place a lot lately," Anderson said. "Last weekend was a rough one. My spokes went out. It's good to be back up here, but at the same time, I want to be fighting for wins. It was a good night, but got smoked by Tomac again and the rookie [Jeremy Martin] got me. But I'm super happy to be up here. There's a bunch of people out there [supporting the team], I just want to put them on top." 14 COLE SEELY 5TH 450SX Cole Seely failed to make the podium for the fourth straight week (he's done it twice this season—Anaheim II and Arlington), but he's back in the top three in the championship standings. "It's easy to get down on myself that I'm not on the podium, but putting in consistent finishes has helped me get up to third in the championship," said Seely. "I will keep working hard to get back on the podium. I'm a fan of Indianapolis, so hopefully something good happens there." 44 JORDON SMITH 4TH 250SX EAST Jordon Smith just missed out getting on the 250SX East podium but gave it a good effort. The TLD Red Bull KTM rider got a good jump in the main but got shuffled back a bit in the first turn. "The start really hurt us, but I think I was able to show some good speed out there tonight," said Smith. "I feel like if we had one more lap, I may have been able to get onto the podium, but we're leaving with a solid result after a few weeks of ups and downs. We'll see if we can get back on the box next week." 26 ALEX MARTIN 8TH 250SX EAST Alex Martin (TLD Red Bull KTM) was the top qualifier in the 250SX East class and won a heat race for the first time of his career but couldn't parlay all that to a podium in the main, though he did finish out the night in the top 10. "I really thought the main event was going to go differently," said Martin. "After the tough start, it was hard for me to really get into a groove. I picked off some people right away but then struggled to get back going. I'd like to take the positive learn- ing experience from the top qualifier and heat win into Indianapolis so we can hopefully get back on the podium." 16 ZACH OSBORNE 5TH 250SX EAST Zach Osborne saw his two-race win streak come to an end with a fifth place. "Overall, it was a pretty positive day," said Osborne. "I wasn't the fastest guy all day, but I turned it around for the night show. I feel good about my results. I tipped over in a corner, and it wasn't ideal. I'm just going to keep plugging away until next weekend and will take it day to day. I know what got me here, and I know that I haven't deviated from it so I'll just keep my faith in that." 15 DEAN WILSON 9TH 450SX Dean Wilson was hoping for a strong finish at Daytona but the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna rider ended up having a quiet day and night. "I never really clicked with the track all day," said Wilson. "The bike was running awesome and the team was good, it was just kind of all in my department. I was just off a little bit, but I know what I've got to work on and I'm going to stay positive and focus on next week."
