We've been going back, making
some adjustments, and trying
to get better each weekend and
it was a better weekend. It was
a step in the right direction. We
put some points away, got a
good start and were up there
battling."
And for Ferrandis, third place—
his first-ever podium finish in
Supercross—at Daytona brought
up some genuine emotions.
"For me and from where I
came from is really a dream
come true," Ferrandis said. "It's
not sure what you're putting it in
for. Just seems like life keeps
knocking you down. My family
and my friends, they lifted me up
and, man, it's an incredible feel-
ing to be back here. I can't give
my sponsors enough credit."
Savatgy's second place puts
him only six points behind Os-
borne in the title chase.
"I mean, we rode good,"
Savatgy said, referring to himself
and his teammate Cianciarulo.
"We managed to take away
some points and that was the
main goal. It would have been
nice to get a win, but Adam was
riding good and can't take any-
thing away from him. It's good
finish in Supercross. Then came
Smith and Osborne.
"I mean, it's not just tonight,
it's been the last three years,"
Cianciarulo said after his first
win since 2014. "Getting hurt a
few times in a row, sometimes
you have those doubts, like, am
I ever going to get there again?
It's hard to come from the bot-
tom and get back to the top. I
mean, it's just a culmination of
so many people, so many hours
of work. There were times I was
