I felt like I missed out on one
last weekend, and I watched
that race probably five times this
week, and just sat in the bed
up to fifth.
Out front, Osborne quickly
chased down the leaders,
sneaking by Martin before the
sand section, and then taking
Smith wide after the finish line
to take the lead. Nobody else
could challenge him.
"I can't explain it," Osborne
said of how he was feeling fol-
lowing his first win in his 49th
At this point, Osborne found
himself in third, with Monster
Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki's
Adam Cianciarulo and Ferrandis'
teammate Colt Nichols round-
ing out the top five. Round-one
winner Joey Savatgy started the
race just outside the top 10.
Cianciarulo soon slid out and
fell in a left-hander, moving Nich-
ols to fourth, and Ferrandis back
