IN THE WIND P44 KR4 Arrive-n-Ride Husqvarna's Jergen Borjesson of Sweden. Borjesson held the lead by three seconds after day one, but But- trick came back strong on Sun- day moving ahead of the Swede in the final test of the day. Borjesson is riding a 250 in the series to prepare for the Li- tes class in GNCC competition. "I think I learned some stuff this weekend," said Borjesson. "I'm still struggling with the tight stuff but it's getting better." RPM Racing's Chris Bach put his KTM into seventh for the weekend, finishing 21 seconds ahead of Beta USA's Drew Hig- gins, who turned in one of his best finishes in the series to date with an eighth. Ninth went to Coastal Rac- ing Husqvarna's Craig DeLong, while Tegan Temple capitalized on a third in test four on Satur- day (the enduro test) to round out the top 10 for the weekend. After two rounds, Sipes leads the series standings with 60 points, followed by Baylor with 50 and Ashburn with 37. Bonanza Plumbing KTM's Mackenzie Tricker won the Women's Pro class after winning six tests on Saturday and two tests on Sunday, topping round- one winner and fellow Australian Tayla Jones on her KR4 Arrive-n- Ride Husqvarna by 29 seconds. Zac Brown took top Amateur honors and first place in the Open A division with a 17th over- all finish, while Billy Schlag was second Amateur (second Open A) in 19th overall. Jacob Row- land rounded out the top three Amateurs in 20th overall and third in the Open A division. Cole Mattison topped the Lites A division with a 21st overall finish. CN OVERALL 1. Tegan Temple (KTM) 1:02:35.155 MOTOCROSSER DYLAN SLUSSER PASSES T he racing community is mourning the loss of AMA Supercross/Pro Motocross racer Dylan Slusser, who passed away on February 24. The Pennsylvania native succumbed to brain bleeding after hav- ing traveled to South Carolina. His fatal condition was not related to a crash or injury, according to his mother, Lori. On Thursday, February 23, she posted the following on Facebook: "Dylan was not in any kind of wreck or accident. He traveled to sob all night to get there to practice today and tomor- row and upon arriving got a severe headache then started vomiting. He was taken to ER and has a severe brain bleed and was sent to another hospital in Florence for neurology team. He is sedated and in ventilator and that's all I know right now." The news of his tragic passing came the next day at 10:00 a.m. His mother posted on Facebook: "It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to say goodbye to my only baby. He would want all of you to rejoice in times he shared with each and every one of you! He could make the whole world laugh as soon as he opened his mouth and could charm everyone with his eyes and heart!!! He is an organ donor so the process is unclear and then a 10 hour drive home. I will keep everyone posted as best as I can!!! Forever in my heart and each of yours #558 my baby from birth to 25!!!
