forward progress continued on lap four when he passed Stein- ke in the whoops to move into second behind his teammate. By this point, though, Blose had opened a gap of nearly three seconds, and while Goerke did all he could to erase the deficit, he soon ran out of time. Blose took his first main event win of the season, crossing the line 1.7 seconds ahead of Goer- ke, which gave the Rockstar Energy/OTSFF Yamaha team its first-ever 1-2 finish. Steinke held on for a solid third-place finish, with Owen fourth and Faith fifth. Points leader Owen snatched the holeshot to start the second main, though, and flat-out took off. Babbitt's teammates Travis Sewell and Faith rounded out the top three, but soon came under fire from teammates Goerke and Blose. Goerke made it through them the most effectively, passing his way up to second before the checkered flag, while Blose could only muster fourth, leaving Faith to finish a solid third in the main. When the overall results were tallied, Blose's (1-4) extra bonus point from the Head 2 Head Challenge gave him a one- point edge over Owen (4-1) and Goerke (2-2), who tied for sec- ond, giving Blose his first victory of the season. Faith was fourth (5-3) and Steinke fifth (3-6). AX Lites East The 12-lap Eastern Regional AX Lites-class main event saw Trader's Racing Yamaha's Jayce Pennington grab the early lead over Team Babbitt's/GPF/Mon- ster Energy Kawasaki/MMCR's Ryan Breece and KTM rider Isaac Teasdale. The clear track allowed Pennington to open a gap of over a second by the completion of Lap 1, but Breece soon began eating into the gap until he fell on lap six, dropping out of contention. That was that. Pennington took the win over Teasdale and Rock River Yamaha's Justin Cooper. Cooper's podium effort helped extend his lead in the Eastern Regional standings to 18 points over Teasdale, who moved into second. Team Bab- bitt's/GPF/Monster Energy Kawasaki/MMCR's Jacob Wil- liamson, who finished fourth, is third, 19 points out of the lead. CN 250AX OVERALL 1. Chris Blose (Yam) 1-4 2. Jace Owen (Hon) 4-1 3. Matt Goerke (Yam) 2-2 4. Gavin Faith (Kaw) 5-3 5. Gared Steinke (Kaw) 3-6 IN THE WIND P40 Jayce Pennington won the East Lites AX main.
