VOL. 54 ISSUE 7 FEBRUARY 22, 2017 P63 BLADE SHARPENING BY RENNIE SCAYSBROOK PHOTOGRAPHY COURTESY HONDA W e've been waiting nine years for the new Honda CBR1000RR. Nine long years for the Honda Motor Com- pany to join its two-wheeled foes in the electronic age—an absolute lifetime in terms of modern super- bike technology. Honda has been slow coming to the party due to a number of fac- tors, not half of which being there wasn't a lot wrong with the 2008- 2016 model. Honda is back in the superbike game—big time— with the new CBR1000RR and CBR1000RR SP.
