Gary Sutherlin dominated the
Gas It Off-Road Racing Series
Tarantula 100, hosted by the Prai-
rie Dawg Motorcycle Club at the
Red Sands Off-Highway Vehicle
Area, round two of the Kenda/
SRT AMA Hare & Hound National
Championship Series, February
11-12.
In doing so, he moved a little
closer in points to round-one
winner and runner-up on the
day Ricky Brabec, the Johnny
Campbell Racing (JCR) Honda
rider who finished about two
minutes behind, after three loops
and 112 miles of high-speed sand
whoops, rocks and countless
turns through the brush. Brabec
remains the points leader over
Sutherlin, 55-51.
Rockstar Energy Husqvarna
Factory Racing Off-Road Team's
Jacob Argubright rounded out
the podium with a ride to third
after a poor start left him with
the task of coming from the back
along with Brabec, though the
reigning series champ worked
his way through the pack quicker.
Like last year's national farther
north, this one featured starts
with more rows to separate the
classes instead of the usual
large lines due to the smaller-
