WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP VOL. 54 ISSUE 5 FEBRUARY 7, 2017 P57 The same can be said of the consistency of Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki's Justin Hill, who has now won three 250SX main events in a row and has taken over the points lead just past the halfway point of the 250cc Western Regional Supercross Series. 450SX A week ago, in Phoenix, Tomac was abso- lutely dominant in the main event, taking the holeshot and just flat out taking off. This week in Oakland was entirely different. Tomac struggled noticeably. Things looked bleak for Tomac to pull off another win. He the first three rounds, Tomac has won two in a row. Last week, he got the holeshot and just took off, exhibiting a blistering pace reminiscent of Hangtown, 2015. This week, he struggled a bit during the qualifiers, then got a bad start in the main event, but came through the field to chase down defending champ Ryan Dungey with only four laps to go in the Oakland Supercross main event and took off, eventually winning by over 10 seconds. It seems that Eli Tomac may have, once again, found his consistency. He is becom- ing consistently dominant.
