li Tomac hasn't always been very consis-
tent. When he started his pro career, he
won the Hangtown MX National, but the
heat in Texas the following week pretty much
ruined him physically (at least outdoors, in the
heat) for a couple of years. It took him a while to
figure it out, but once he did, he dominated the
250cc AMA Motocross Championship before
moving up. Once he started winning, it was
about as consistent as possible. Then, in 2015,
Tomac started out the Nationals by dominating
Hangtown, then continued his dominance until a
huge crash in Colorado knocked him out of the
series with an injury. Prior to the crash, though,
he was very consistent—consistently winning.
And now, after struggling with bike setup
since he moved to his current Monster Energy
Kawasaki team at the beginning of 2016, he's
gotten the bike sorted out and is picking up
steam yet again. After inconsistent results at
