IN THE WIND P38 FAITH STRIKES AT KENTUCKY ARENACROSS T he fifth round of the Amsoil Arenacross Champion made its stop at the Freedom Hall in Louisville, Kentucky, Febru- ary 4, where Gavin Faith came away with his second win of the season. Faith (Team Babbitt's/ Monster Energy/Amsoil Kawa- saki, presented by AP Design) won both main events. In the Eastern Regional AX Lites main event, Justin Cooper (Yamaha Rock River bLU cRU) claimed his third win of the sea- son to extend his points lead in the series. Before the main events got underway, Faith, the defend- ing champ, raced to his fourth RMATV/MC Head 2 Head Chal- lenge win of the season, outlast- ing championship leader Jace Owen (TiLUBE/Jack Link's/TUF Racing Honda). Faith carried the momentum of that win into the first main, grabbing the holeshot over Owen and Matt Goerke (Rock- star Energy/OTSFF/Yamaha). By the conclusion of the open- ing lap Faith already held a lead of over a second on the field, which he would never relinquish. Owen was able to keep Faith in sight and solidified his hold on second, while teammates Goer- ke and Chris Blose engaged in an exciting battle for third over the early stages of the race. Faith took the win 3.5 sec- onds ahead of Owen, followed by Goerke, Blose and Gared Gavin Faith is getting back on track with his second win of the season at the Louisville Arenacross.
