CN III VOICES W H A T Y O U A R E S A Y I N G "Sad thing is whoever wins the championship will always hear: 'He won because Roczen got hurt.'" Arizona Supercross The Phoenix SX round: coolest track so far. Chad Reed from fourth to second: Coolest move so far. I love supercross on TV in the middle of winter! Steve Casper Chad Reed showed his vast experience in dealing with the Dungey/Seely dogfight. Rather than getting involved, he waited for his chance and struck when he saw an opening, passing both in the process. Great racing ahead. Jim Bunch Congrats to all, but espe- cially Chad Reed. He had a few down roster finishes, but Phoenix shows he can still get it done. Robert Fiesler Reed's finish was legit! He also posted the second-quickest race lap on his way forward, behind Tomac. Nobody can say that Reed was lucky, or just got a better start. He flat smoked 'em. Most of them anyway. Howard Halterman After Roczen got hurt all I heard from friends was: "The supercross season is going to be boring now." The Phoe- nix Supercross proved them wrong. Seeing Tomac wax the competition and Reed's perfor- mance made the event the best of the year. Sad thing is whoever wins the championship will always hear: "He won because Roczen got hurt." Maybe, maybe not. Scott Wilkinson Pumped As a motorcyclist, bicyclist, unicyclist and a 27-year veteran massage therapist/bodywork- er, I'd like to add a few thoughts to Steve Cox's article (Empire of Dirt, "Pumped," issue #3). Fascia is not inelastic, other- wise your skin outside of joints would be a bag, not just loose. What can and does happen is fascia develops strain patterns. These patterns happen due to everyday life and injury. Our bodies do not "get better," they find a way around and shelter the problem. That's why people have problems later in life from an injury decades earlier. Go get bodywork: Ortho- Bionomy, Myofascial Release, Trager, Structual Integration, Active Release, Neurokinetic Therapy and even standard massage can help. And stay hydrated. Matt Albert Trump And Land-Use This is why I'm still a member of the AMA. This is hard and often underappreciated work. Yet, we all benefit from having open access, and even the land, in most cases, is better off for it. Rob Green Honda CRF450RX Test Red sticker in California does not mean closed-course only. Red stickers can go on public land in certain seasons with spark arresters. Ed Stovin Letters to the editor can be sent to voices@cyclenews.com. Published letters do not necessarily reflect the position of Cycle News. Letters should not exceed 150 words and are subject to editing. Anonymous letters won't be considered for publication and each letter should contain the writer's name, address and daytime phone number… Editor P6
