Sutherlin recorded his second
consecutive runner-up finish.
"Honestly, I never really got
into a flow today," said Sutherlin.
"Robby and I had a good battle
and Blayne was ripping at the
beginning. I just kept pushing
with my head down and I was in
the right place at the right time."
Damon scored his first
WORCS Pro podium after a
great start and a consistent race.
"My bike started on the first kick,
and I felt good," said Damon. "I
was hitting my lines and staying
consistent. I'll use this momen-
tum and try to carry it on to the
next race."
Seeds scored his second
straight top-five finish with a
fourth-place finish.
Bell and Sutherlin were bat-
tling for second when Bell's bike
quit.
"That was such a bummer, es-
pecially after all of the progress
we made on the bike over the
last few weeks," said Bell. "After
I pitted, I felt something a little
funny with the motor. I was hop-
ing it was my imagination. From
there, Sutherlin and I were going
at it, and the engine finally let go
right before the pits."
In Pro 2 class, Logan Cham-
bers won his second consecu-
tive race in dominant fashion,
but the real story was Dante
Oliveira, who experienced sus-
pension issues on the first lap
and had to pit for repairs. Driving
from dead last, he rebounded to
finish second, followed by Maxx
Perkins in third.
In Pro 2 Lights, Austin Serpa
scored his first class victory by
edging out Clay Hengeveld for
the win with the pass for the lead
in the third-to-last corner of the
race. Collin Elliott rounded out
the top three.
