IN THE WIND P50 BETA RE-SIGNS TANKE B eta USA has re-signed Mor- gan Tanke through the 2017 season. The 19-year-old from Riverside, California finished second this year in the Wom- en's AMA EnduroCross Cham- pionship on her factory-backed Beta 300 Xtrainer, and she will return in hopes of nabbing the number-one plate in Enduro- Cross. "I couldn't be happier to sign another deal with Beta. I love the bikes and the team, and I'm grateful for all of the support that they have given me. I'm excited to see what 2017 has in store!" Tanke said. "I am super happy to continue with Morgan," said Beta USA's Tim Pilg. "She not only has talent as a young racer but also has a great work ethic. Our team manager Zack Huberty and rider coach Rodney Smith are looking forward to getting her out rac- ing other select off-road events along with endurocross. She has some very special go-fast skills and we want to help her succeed in all aspects of racing. Tanke will race select GNCC and National Enduros to get her feet wet in those series." CN Morgan Tanke will again receive full backing from Beta in 2017. BRADLEY HAGI NAMED PRESIDENT OF KTM JAPAN K TM Japan KK announced the appointment of Bradley Hagi as its new president, effec- tive December 1, 2016. As Presi- dent, Hagi will assume responsi- bility for the Japanese subsidiary to include the KTM Group brands KTM and Husqvarna Mo- torcycles. Hagi will work closely with Interim President Michael Schano until the end of the year to ensure seamless transition, while Schano will remain in the company as Chairman. Hagi, was formerly Vice Presi- dent of Sales and Marketing for KTM North America based in Murrieta California. Prior to joining KTM in 2009, Hagi lived in Italy working for Ducati managing Distributors around the world focusing on emerging markets. After graduating from Illinois State University, Hagi was recruited by Yamaha Motor Corporation as a District Man- ager and spent almost a decade in various sales and marketing positions before heading to Europe. On this occasion, Hubert Trunkenpolz, Chief Sales Officer (CSO) of KTM AG, said: "Japan is an extremely strategic and important market for KTM and Husqvarna Motorcycles and we are delighted that Mr. Hagi will be leading the KTM/Husqvarna Group in Japan." "When I got the call to join KTM Japan it was like a dream coming true," said Hagi. "Japan has such an amazing motorcycle culture and is a real honor to be selected as President. My wife and I are very excited for this next chapter our life and relocat- ing to Tokyo." CN
