VOL. 53 ISSUE 47 NOVEMBER 29, 2016 P53
Dinner, which was provided by
Thor/Parts Unlimited. But many
families chose to enjoy their
own Thanksgiving feasts at their
motorhomes in the pits.
Racing resumed on Friday
morning, as the second half of
the first motos had to be run. In
the first 250cc Pro Sport moto,
Tennant ran off with the win over
Cooper and Bailey, but a DNF
in the second moto ruined his
bid for the overall. Cantrell, who
DNF'ed the first moto won the
second moto, so neither moto
winners would go home with the
gold. Instead, it would go with
Cooper who went 2-3. Bailey
was second overall.
Tennant won the first 450cc
Pro Sport moto but didn't line up
for the second moto. Cooper,
who finished second in the first
moto, ended up winning the
second moto and the overall.
Both Cantrell and Cooper
won in the A-class first motos,
with Cantrell taking the 250A
and Cooper taking the 450A
wins. Cantrell finished second
to Tennant in the second 250A
moto but his 1-2 bested Ten-
nant's 3-1 for the overall win.
In the 450A second moto,
Cantrell (third in the first moto)
came back and won, his 3-1
again besting Tennant's 2-2 for
the overall trophy. Cooper went
1-4 for third overall.
Many of the same riders that
won or were in the top three in
SX also placed well on the MX
track. One of those riders was
Austin Winslow. In 250B Limited,
Winslow, who won the same
class in SX, went 1-1 for the MX
Championship.
The Supermini 2 class saw
a last-lap pass in moto two, as
Seth Hammaker was able to
capitalize on a small mistake by
Carson Mumford. They were
within feet of each other over the
finish line; Hammaker went 1-1 for
the overall title.
The WMX Championship had
its last round of the season on
Saturday. Hannah Hodges went
1-1 for the overall win, despite rid-
