home beautifully as the Spaniard
clocked the fastest time on both
days for the first off-season Mo-
toGP test at Valencia last week.
Having spent two seasons on
the sweet handling but ultimately
slower Suzuki GSX-RR machine,
Vinales showed total confidence
across the two days on his 2016-
spec Yamaha YZR-M1, finishing
with a best time of 1:29.975 to
head 2016 World Champion
