s Big Red prepares for an-
other bid at the Dakar Rally
in January, they are proud to
announce the backing of a new
sponsor—Monster Energy. Team
Honda HRC has announced
Monster Energy as the Rally
team's leading collaborator,
making the new official team
name Monster Energy Honda
Team.
Milan's Spazio Davide Campa-
ri hosted the official presentation
of the new 2017 Honda models
at the EICMA show, where the
HRC team announcement was
also made. Team members
Joan Barreda, Paulo Goncalves,
Michael Metge, American Ricky
Brabec and Kevin Benavides
were present, donning the new
livery that the squad will now be
sporting.
Honda calls its new collabora-
tion "a long-term agreement" but
did not specify a contract dura-
tion with Monster.
"We're really proud to start
this collaboration with Monster
Energy for the Dakar Project,"
said Honda Racing Corporation
Director and General Manager
Tetsuhiro Kuwata. "This partner-
ship will help strengthen the
team in its goal: to conquer the
Dakar Rally."

enthusiast," said Mitch Cov-
ington, vice president of sport
marketing, Monster Energy.
