2017 BETA RACE EDITIONS REVEALED
B
eta introduced its "Race"
version of the company's
standard RR two-stroke and
four-stroke off-road models,
available in these engine sizes:
250/300cc two-stroke and
350/390/430/480 four-stroke.
The 390 is new to Beta's Race
line.
The Race models feature
suspension upgrades and other
refinements geared toward the
hard-core off-road racer.
The 48mm closed-cartridge
Sachs fork has 5mm more
wheel travel, and some of the
internal parts have been modi-
fied for improved performance
and reliability. The Race fork
also leaves the factory with
higher-grade oil compared to
the standard RRs.
The two-stroke Race models
have done away with the oil-injec-
tion system of the standard mod-
els in the name of saving weight.
However, the premix Race mod-
els are still wired for a separate
mixing system that can be easily
attached. The mixing system can
be purchased through Beta's ac-
cessory catalog.
The Race models also feature
a quick-release front axle pull,
flag-style hand guards (with in-
mold graphics), factory aluminum
footpegs and a rear sprocket that
has an aluminum core with stain-
less steel teeth. In addition, the
Race models have red aluminum
chain tensioner blocks.
Topping things off is a racing
seat with a pocket for score-
cards, black anodized shift
lever and rear brake pedal, red
anodized transmission oil filler
cap, engine oil cap (four-stroke)
and oil filter cap (four-stroke). Of
course, graphics are unique to
the Racing models.
The Race models will be
available at Beta dealers in
December. Click here for more
information.
Beta's 2017 Race Editions
get mostly suspension
and cosmetic upgrades
over the standard off-road
models.
