award, Robby Bell would have
earned it in spades this season.
Instead, he overcame nagging
injuries, mechanical issues and
even becoming a new dad to
win his second consecutive
WORCS Pro Motorcycle cham-
pionship.
Bell finished third in the sea-
son finale at Buffalo Bill's Resort
and Casino, October 22, to
clinch his third WORCS Pro title.
RPM/KTM/Maxxis rider Eric
Yorba won the race, ahead of
Justin Wallis. Justin Seeds and
Michael Del Fante completed
the top five.
Zip-Ty Husqvarna's Dalton
Shirey, who came into the finale
within four points of the cham-
pionship lead, took a dominat-
ing early lead. Riding like he
had something to prove, Shirey
looked well on his way to a vic-
tory, but unfortunately fell out on
the final lap with a mechanical
issue. That handed the lead to
Wallis with Yorba in tow. Yorba
and Wallis had been battling
hard, nearly taking each other
out several times until Yorba
took the lead for good two laps
from the finish.
But the lead story was Bell's.
