IN THE WIND P38 MOTOGP SIGNING T he last seat in MotoGP for next year has been settled, and it goes to the returning privateer Karel Abraham, a one-time Moto2 race winner who ran his own premier-class team from 2011 to 2014, claiming 13 top-10 finishes, with a best of three seventh places. The team was backed by his wealthy father's AB Cardion firm. A Czech law graduate, Abraham, who lives at the family property adjacent to the Brno circuit, returns after a year in world super- bikes to join the Aspar team, where Alvaro Bautista is already scheduled to replace the departing Eugene Laverty. Abraham displaces Colombian Yonny Hernan- dez, who moves to Moto2, as second rider in the AGR team. Michael Scott PHOTOGRAPHY BY GOLD & GOOSE GAJSER CROWNED KING OF ARNHEM M otocross World Champions Tim Gajser and Romain Febvre got to face off once again, this time at the Arnhem Supercross in The Netherlands, where riders took on one of Europe's biggest off- season supercross-style events. American riders Malcolm Stewart and Ricky Renner also got in on the action, but in the end, Gajser was crowned after winning the King of Arnhem Superfinal. Factory Yamaha rider Febvre commented that he "does not have much experience" in supercross, but the 2015 MXGP World Champion looked plenty comfortable in the Supercross class finals. He won the first SX final after Malcolm Stewart crashed out, and finished second behind the GEICO Honda in the second one to take the overall victory. Despite his win in the second race, Stewart was only cred- ited with fifth overall. Gajser took second place with defending champion Thomas Ramette taking third. Riders then faced off in the one-race King of Arnhem Superfinal. Febvre was looking to back up his overall with the final win of the night, while Stewart was looking for some redemption, but it was Ga- jser to took the spoils after a memorable battle with Febvre, who was forced to settle for second. Cedric Soubeyras rounded out the King of Arnhem podium, edging out Stewart, who finished fourth. For more info and full results from the Arnhem Supercross, visit www.ArnhemSupercross.com.
