VOL. 53 ISSUE 42 OCTOBER 25, 2016 P61
Laverty was a distant 14th,
while close behind Austra-
lian Mike Jones, riding Bar-
bera's Avintia Ducati, had
the reward of a single point
for a second sold weekend
as a complete GP novice,
leaving Tito Rabat (EG-VDS
Honda) well adrift, and a
remounted Hayden last.
The Australian's tempo-
rary teammate Loris Baz
retired early after a pit-lane
start, with mechanical
woes.
No-score Marquez had
no worries either, still at
273 points while Rossi has
216. But Lorenzo (192) is
under threat from Vinales
(181) and Pedrosa (155)
from Crutchlow (141).
(Above) Maverick Vinales finished out the day on the
podium. (Left) Valentino Rossi came from the fifth grid
to grab second where he gained valuable points for the
race for runner-up in the championship. (Below) Andrea
Dovizioso had to settle for fourth this time.
