OFF ROAD
91ST INTERNATIONAL SIX DAYS ENDURO
OCTOBER 11-16, 2016
KARTING CIRCUITO DE NAVARRA / NAVARRA, SPAIN
P64
"Trevor got [his] guy by six sec-
onds, and Steward and I both got
beat by the Swedes. We got hor-
rible starts and those guys were
one and three off the start so they
killed the start. We were catching
them by the end, but we needed
a few more laps."
In the end, Sweden's score/
time totaled 10:30:55.71, which
was 45.23 seconds better than
Team USA, Italy 3:36.27 farther
back for third.
FIM WOMEN'S WORLD TROPHY
For the fourth consecutive year,
Australia dominated the FIM
Women's World Trophy, though it
was Germany's ISDE newbie Ma-
ria Franke earning top individual
team found itself 26.92 seconds
behind Sweden, Italy 3:33.63
back of Team USA.
"I told the Juniors, 'You're in a
different position than the Trophy
guys,'" Kallonen shared. "'You've
got to give it all you've got; don't
leave anything on the table. Give
it all and see where it takes us.'
Moto might not be our strength in
the Junior class, but I don't think
the Swedes are much better in
moto so we're definitely going
after them."
Things didn't quite fall their
way, though.
"Trevor got sixth on the E1 guy
and the other two were in E2 and
both me and Steward were in E2
as well," Grant Baylor explained.
(Above) Motocross veteran
Tarah Geiger performed well
in her first ISDE, leading Team
USA's trio to fourth in the
FIM Women's World Trophy
division.
(Opposite page top left) Daniel
"Chucky" Sanders gave Taylor
Robert a run for his money
in the overall rankings. The
Aussie did get to celebrate
winning E3 for the second year
in a row. (Top right) In only his
second ISDE, Josh Toth not
only led the Trail Jesters to
second in the final Club team
standings, he won the C1 class
and posted the top score/time
of all Club riders. (Bottom)
Spanish Junior World Trophy
rider Josep Garcia won the E1
class by 3:04.38 over Great
Britain's Nathan Watson.
