For Michael, this was his
second win of the year, his
first coming at round five. He
was fifth overall on the day and
finished just ahead of four XC1
riders: Grant Baylor, Steward
Baylor, Bach and Buttrick.
"I got up to the lead about two
or three miles into the race,"
said Michael. "I just got in my
groove and tried to push it the
first few laps without making any
mistakes. It was a big deal to
