Sykes parried well but Rea
made one big push when Davies
had closed up to within a sec-
ond. Both Kawasaki riders ran
a little wide; Davies inherited
the chance and then burned his
name into the results sheets by
finding a pace that the KRT rid-
ers could not live with.
Pedercini Kawasaki rider, Mat-
thieu Lagrive, made the most of
his one-off ride and his aeons of
Bol d'Or experience to take sixth
place on a wet front and inter
rear tire cocktail.
From the start, Sykes forced
the pace in a dry race two on
Sunday, with Davies behind and
Rea in third. Rea would go sec-
ond, and then try to find a way
Followed into pit lane for his
tire change by Rea, who had
one eye on his championship
points lead, Sykes and his team-
mate exited together but with
Rea now on inters, which were
not the best option right at the
end. Rea was just off podium for
the first time this year in a race
he had finished.
