VOL. 53 ISSUE 39 OCTOBER 4, 2016 P49 T he Husqvarna 701 series will be updated after only one year of production for 2017. The new 701 Supermoto and Enduro will receive the current generation KTM 690 Duke motor that debuted earlier this year, upping the bike from a claimed 67 horsepower at 7500 rpm and 49 lb-ft of torque at 6000 rpm on the 2016 model to 74 horsepower at 8000 rpm and 51 lb-ft at 6750 rpm for 2017. Husqvarna's new motor will also rev 1000 rpm higher than the 2016 bike, and with a second balancer shaft, you'll also get less vibrations through the chassis. The new motor means service intervals have been increased to 6200 miles, with Husqvarna claiming fuel consumption is also decreased. CN 2017 Husqvarna 701 Enduro
