He was right behind the Husky
rider as they entered lap five of
the six-lap race. Bollinger got
around DeLong and was now
trailing leader Michael by a little
over two minutes heading into
final lap, which was too much of
a deficit to make up in just one
lap. So Bollinger took it easy the
last lap, going just fast enough to
stay ahead of DeLong, knowing a

was playing it safe and cruising
in the middle of the pack.
Michael had a one-minute-

DeLong was second, followed
by Tegan Temple and Michael

his way up to fifth.
Michael continued to stretch
out his lead a bit over DeLong as
the race progressed.
Bollinger, meanwhile, con-
tinued to gain ground. He had

damaged radiator.
Strang's misfortune was Ricky
Russell's fortune, as the Suzuki
rider moved up a notch, taking
the checkered flag third over two
minutes behind Duvall.
Ashburn ended up fourth
right behind Duvall, while Grant
Baylor took fifth, crossing the
finish line more than two minutes
behind Ashburn.
JCR Honda's Chris Bach was
sixth in XC1, followed by Cory
