RUSSELL CLINCHES FOURTH
PHOTOGRAPHY BY KEN HILL
K
ailub Russell celebrated
another victory and
another championship
after the checkered flag flew at
the Polaris Ace Powerline Park
GNCC in Ohio. It was the FMF/
KTM Factory Racing Team
rider's ninth victory in the 2016
GNCC Championship, which
put him over the top in securing
his fourth straight crown. And
once again, he did it with room
to spare with two rounds still left
on the 2016 GNCC calendar.
He now has 316 points while his
nearest rival in the XC1 overall
championship, Josh Strang,
has 236, and there is no way
anyone can catch him with
just two rounds to go. No one
can catch Strang either, so the
Husqvarna rider has a lock on
second place in the champion-
ship.
