IN THE WIND P38 ALPINESTARS TEAMS WITH MOBILE MEDICAL CENTER A lpinestars is the new main partner of the Mobile Medi- cal Center for AMA Pro Super- cross and Motocross. Formerly called the Asterisks Mobile Medical Center, it will now be called the Alpinestars Mobile Medical Center. Building on its long estab- lished operation, the Alpin- estars Mobile Medical Center provides essential medical intervention and support for all the riders and members of the paddock throughout every race meeting in the AMA Supercross and Pro Motocross Champion- ships. This is carried on with a full team of physicians and facilities for emergency treat- ment and regular health care requirements. Equipped with state-of-the-art equipment for diagnosis and treatment of injuries and ail- ments, the Alpinestars Mobile Medical Center's trailer is headed by Tom Carson and Dr. John "Doc" Bodnar, together with their team of doctors and medical staff, providing an es- sential role in rider safety. CN NO GLEN HELEN MOTOCROSS OF NATIONS W ell, it turns out that Glen Helen Raceway won't be hosting next year's Motocross of Nations after all. Instead, England's Matterley Basin will get the race. After another low GP spectator turnout for last month's Monster Energy MXGP of USA at Glen Helen, Giuseppe Luongo, Youthstream president, and Bud Feldkamp, president of Glen Helen Raceway, came to a mutual agreement that next year's MXoN, which was scheduled to be held at Glen Helen for the first time ever, should be moved to a more proven venue. "Glen Helen Raceway and Youthstream have worked in close cooperation over the last two years and both entities have invested serious funds for the organization of the MXGP of USA, but despite the quality of the organization, the excellent racing and the massive media coverage, the fan attendance was much lower than expected and also much lower than what this event de- serves," read a release issued by the raceway. "For such a prestigious event, which deserves and needs an outstanding fan participation, the risk is too high, and this is the main reason why it has been decided in common agreement to not organize the Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations in 2017 at Glen Helen. If the situation changes in the future both parties would be keen to work together again." It appears, however, this does not mean that the U.S. won't ever get the chance to host the MXoN again, not according to a release from Youthstream, that reads: "Concerning the Mon- ster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations to be held in USA, Youthstream is exploring possibilities for this event to be held in 2019 and discussions are under way to bring this unique event to a venue that is desired by the fans and the motocross community." CN Glen Helen opted out of hosting the 2017 Motocross of Nations.
