VOL. 53 ISSUE 38 SEPTEMBER 27, 2016 P73
His emotional triumph came
after a typically fierce Moto3
race, with the four leaders only
breaking free from a pack of
eleven in the final laps.
Gresini's Enea Bastianini led
an all-Honda front row, and it
was another Honda—Navarro's
Moto3
Brad Binder came within 0.30
of a second of making history
with a win. As it turned out,
Jorge Navarro sneaked back
ahead through the final cor-
ner as the Red Bull KTM rider
ran a little wide. It mattered
not. With four races to go, the
21-year-old South African had
done enough to make himself
unbeatable.
Speed Up. But try as he might,
he could get no further.
Simon, Pasini, Cortese and
Syahrin finished in a close pack,
Schrotter led the next to wrap up
the final point.
With four races left, Lowes's
win cuts his deficit to 40 points,
giving him "a little bit of hope,"
and Zarco's lead over Rins to
just one point. Luthi and Mor-
bidelli are fourth and fifth.
Jorge Navarro made a pass for the
lead on the last lap of the Moto3
race and came away with the win.
