CN III VOICES L E T T E R S T O T H E E D I T O R "It is too bad that he didn't throw a thank you out to the RCH team in his press release." Ken Roczen And Honda After hearing Ken Roczen speak after this year's South- wick National in his own words after being beat straight up by Eli Tomac, "I just didn't have the 'bike' to win today," it started to make me feel a little disheartened about the kid. While no doubt he has put in the hard work and it is an absolute pleasure to watch him perform, in my mind it, is unjus- tified to blame the bike/team for the loss. Tomac just straight up beat him that day. I was even more bummed when I read his quote from the Honda release when he said, "I'm always looking to improve myself, as well as my surround- ings, team and equipment, which is why I decided to make a switch." (Don't forget about the rumored $15 million Honda paid to get him, that may have had a small amount to do with it also.) It is too bad that he didn't throw a thank you out to the RCH team in his press release, as no doubt they have worked very hard in providing him with the best equipment. Ken, please do not ever forget about the people that work hard behind the scenes to help get you (and other racers) to the top step. Tim Pilg Eli Tomac will dominate the 2017 season. Ken Roczen is on a better bike compared to the Suzuki, but he is not riding the "best" bike! By the time Roczen gets accustomed to the Honda it will be too late, that is assuming an injury does not occur in the process! Mary Hawkins Roczen is the best rider on a much-improved bike. I feel sorry for the competition. Kevin Burner Yamaha SCR950 Regarding Rennie Scay- sbrook's fantasy review of the Yamaha SCR950, does he really recommend that a new rider buy an entry-level 550-pound boulevard cruiser with belt drive, and drift it around gravel back roads? As a dual sport rider of 50 years, I am stunned. Somehow this seems like journalistic malpractice. A rock or two in the belt drive could ruin your whole day. To me, it looks like an underpowered, overweight bike with a small gas tank that is ideally suited to urban trips to the malt shop. Rick Campbell Motocross of Nations Hats off to team USA and Jason Anderson, tough-as-nails ride for the win over Jeffrey Herlings. Close call, glad you're okay, Jason! The world knows who you are now. Big-time pressure on Cooper Webb on a 450. He almost pulled it off. Great rides Team USA. Bronze is totally cool, and all arriving home safely. You'll get 'em next year. Eric Jordan MXoN TV Coverage CBSSN is horrible; they put commercials in the middle of races, yet show all the dead time between motos. These people are morons; have they ever seen MotoGP? On he other hand, the racing was incredible and on a real motocross track. Hope Jason Anderson is okay. Brad Hicks Wayne Rainey Interview How about a longer and more compelling [MotoAmerica] season? More teams, manufac- turers, a full Superbike class, more races, etc. These will help our American series. It's sad it's in such bad shape, as it doesn't do much to showcase our riders to the world. Come on, Wayne, we're pull- ing for you. Rick McBride I think Wayne and company are doing a great job. Sean Curtiss Kudos to MotoAmerica on a good 2016 season!
