CN III VOICES L E T T E R S T O T H E E D I T O R "It was entertaining but Snidely Whiplash or Dr. Evil must not have been available to be cast as the head of Indian." Harley And The Davidsons I watched it for the first night and was fed up halfway through the second with all the commer- cials. At the very least, these should have been from Harley and Indian. The story line was strictly Hollywood, but the "on the track" racing sequences were just plain ridiculous. That was a waste of my time. Jerry Baljeu Thanks Discovery for a fun-to- watch, accurate or not, series. It was entertaining to me, and it was cool to see Excelsior and some of the other brands part of the flick, too. Trevor Nebesniak This was a Hollywood-style movie, not a documentary. Why would you expect any kind of accuracy when its sole purpose was to be entertaining to the masses? This was not the History Channel; this was the Discovery Channel, the same people that brought you screaming bike builders from NYC. Think about it! Greg Shaw I read an article from one of the writers. He stated since it was a hundred years ago and really nobody really knows a lot of what really happened they were unashamedly going to take liberties with it. It was basically an H-D propaganda film with Indian and Ford being the villain to Harley's good guy. I thought it entertaining but didn't take it a bit seriously. Mikael Haggard It was entertaining but Snidely Whiplash or Dr. Evil must not have been available to be cast as the head of Indian. I won- der who bankrolled the proj- ect because it really seemed more a marketing tool to make Harley look like the scrappy underdogs and Indian the big corporate bully. Some subliminal marketing going on? Chuck Smith We could have done without five minutes of commercials for every five minutes of the show— it was past irritating. Scott McKay Milwaukee Eight Harley is not an innovative com- pany when it comes to mechani- cals. They use tried-and-true designs that have been R&D'd by someone else. Nothing wrong with that. I currently own a 2014 Indian Vintage. Before that I owned four Harleys along with an assortment of other bikes through the years. I'm going to get one of Harley's new Road Kings this spring. I like my Indian but am very dissatisfied with Polaris Corp. and am not going to give them any more of my money. Anyway, I'm not looking for the latest and most cutting-edge design in a motor- cycle. If I were, I'd get a Gold Wing. I want "Made in USA" and nostalgic American design. That kind of narrows it down for me to Harley or Indian. In the end, ride what you like.
