RED BULL 111 MEGAWATT T he 2016 Red Bull Hard En- duro Series rolled on, Sep- tember 17-18, with the Red Bull 111 Megawatt, the Polish event that carries the signature of ex- treme enduro star Taddy Blazu- siak. It may be a "home race" for Blazusiak but it was, once again, Red Bull KTM's Johnny Walker who stole the spotlight, taking his second consecutive win at the event. After returning from injury fol- lowing his lengthy layoff, Walker surpassed even his own ex- pectations by securing the victory. The Brit was confident of a podium result, but also well aware that his relative lack of race fitness would likely make it difficult to mount a challenge for the win. Another formidable ob- stacle was Blazusiak, who came on strong in the opening stages of the race. Taddy led the way on the opening lap with Walker in second, but Walker soon found himself out front where he settled into a steady pace through the soft, wet sandy hills.
