OFF ROAD 2016 KENDA AMA TENNESSEE KNOCKOUT AUGUST 21, 2016 TRIALS TRAINING CENTER / SEQUATCHIE, TN P84 made that mistake in the final," said Young. "I really wanted to put on a race for the fans out there watching all day. I made a silly mistake and it cost me. But I didn't want to quit; I knew there was time to salvage a result and that's exactly what I did. "It's been great racing this event, I've really enjoyed myself here. It's my first time in America so it's been a cool experience and I'd love to come back. This event is right up there with the best of them." Joining Webb and Young on the podium for third was Kyle Redmond. Enjoying a steady day, Redmond played the long game in the TKO and it paid off for him. Know- ing the elimination races would be physically demand- ing, he conserved as much energy as possible for when it mattered in the final race. "This race is designed to wear you down," said Red- mond. "I knew I just needed to keep doing enough to see myself through each heat race and then be ready for the final. With the added rain, the trails were seriously slippery and tough but I man- aged to ride smart, hit all my lines and push right until the end to make it home in third. Webb and Young are at the top of their game in the ex- treme stuff so it's cool to be on the podium with them." Delivering arguably the standout performance of the weekend, Ben Kelley (KTM) proved he's a rider to watch for in the near future by rid- ing his way to fourth overall. Doing it the hard way, Kelley rode the amateur races on Saturday to qualify through to Sunday's TKO main event. Impressive in the techni- cal sections, Kelley held his nerve against some of the world's best riders and the brutal terrain to place third in each of his elimination heat races before ending the final fourth. Finishing just over two minutes behind Kelley, SRT KTM rider Cory Graffunder completed the top five with teammate Steward Baylor in sixth. Completing four laps each of the final, Beta's Max Gerston and KTM-mounted Noah Kepple were the final two finishers in seventh and eighth, respectively. CN Final Knockout 1. Cody Webb (KTM) 8 laps 2. Wade Young (Shr) 7 laps 3. Kyle Redmond (Bet) 6 laps 4. Ben Kelley (KTM) 5 laps 5. Cory Graffunder (KTM) 5 laps 6. Steward Baylor (KTM) 4 laps 7. Max Gerston (Bet) 4 laps 8. Noah Kepple (KTM) 4 laps 9. Mike Brown (Hus) 3 laps 10. Quinn Wentzel (KTM) 3 laps We just hope all these guys are getting paid to do this.
