CRF450R, Honda also
debuted the 2017 CRF250R,
which takes on no changes
for the new year. It returns with
a 49mm Showa SFF-Air TAC
fork and Showa shock. It still
features a high-compression
249cc Unicam engine with
engine-mode-select button that
allows for three different power
maps: Standard, Smooth and
Aggressive. Custom maps can
also be created with the avail-
able HRC tuning tool.
The 2017 CRF250R will be
available in September and retail
for $7599. CN

ANNOUNCES 2017 MX TEAM
T
he CycleTrader.com/Rock River Yamaha Team is already set for the 2017 season and will look
significantly different. It will be made up of new members Bradley Taft and Lorenzo Locurcio, and
returning rider Tommy Hahn.
Taft just made his pro debut at Unadilla after winning the 250 A class at Loretta Lynn's the previous
week. Lucurcio will finish off his amateur career in the Amateur All-Star race at the Monster Energy
Cup in Las Vegas, October 15. Taft will compete in
the 250SX West Supercross Championship and the
250MX outdoor championship, and Lucurcio will com-
pete in the 250SX East Championship and 250MX
outdoor championship. Hahn, who has been out of
action since getting injured at Hangtown, will be back
competing in the 450 class in both SX and MX.
Rock River's Colt Nichols is leaving the team and is
heading to the Yamalube/Star Racing Yamaha Team.
Nichols' teammate Luke Renzland will be shopping for
a new team and the end of the season. CN
