MOTOCROSS LUCAS OIL AMA PRO MOTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND 10 / AUGUST 13, 2016 UNADILLA, NEW YORK / UNADILLA MX P76 My Own Race: 3 ELI TOMAC 3 RD 450MX (2-3) "This weekend had its ups and downs," said Eli Tomac of his third-overall placing. "The first moto I rode pretty well but unfortunately couldn't hang with the leader. I did what I could and brought it home second. In the second moto I didn't get the start I needed, in this stacked field you have to be at the front right out of the gate to be at the front when the checkers fly. A third overall isn't what we want, though. Time to go home, do the homework and put the Monster Energy Kawasaki back on top of the podium." 16 ZACH OSBORNE 39 TH 250MX (DNF-DNF) It was a tough day for Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing's Zach Osborne. He was hoping to grab some big points and get back into the running for a top-five in the championship but came away empty handed. Mechanical issues in both motos led to a pair of DNFs. He now trails Aaron Plessinger, who had a great day, by 32 points for sixth in the standings. "I had good speed in the first moto," said Osborne, "but today was a huge struggle. It's a major disappointment to have two DNF's. I'm looking forward to Budds Creek next week." 214 AUSTIN FORKNER 3 RD 250MX (7-2) Rookie Austin Forkner finished out the day on the podium but he might've placed even higher had it not been for an untimely red flag. "On the first start I earned the holeshot and held the lead until the red flag," said Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki's Austin Forkner. "On the restart I was in a rut behind another rider that went down and was held up pretty bad. I pushed all the way to the end, passed a couple guys on the final lap and finished seventh. In the second moto I had an amazing start and led the race for almost the whole moto. I was passed towards the end of the moto and immediately afterwards they red flagged the race. Had I known that was going to happen I would have sent it to keep first, but you live and learn. The track was really tough today and the conditions were even worse, but I managed to have solid results and I'm looking forward to the next one." 32 MATT BISCEGLIA 10 TH 450MX (9-10) "Today wasn't too bad after my first race back in a couple of rounds," said Yoshimura Suzuki fill-in rider Matt Bisceglia, who is taking over for the injured Blake Baggett for the rest of the season. "I took some time off after my crash at Southwick. Unadilla hasn't been the best for me in the past; I ended up ninth overall, which is good. My pace was a little bit faster in both motos, but I'm looking forward to the last two rounds [Budds Creek and Indiana]. Those are two of my favorite tracks…looking to have a couple of other good finishes in the top 10." 31 RJ HAMPSHIRE 5 TH 250MX (9-6) For the first time this year, GEICO Honda's RJ Hampshire finished out the day in the top five. "It was a better weekend all around for myself and the team," said Hampshire. "We put in a lot of work over the break to get our bike back where it needs to be. [We made] huge changes on the bike that paid off. A small tip over late in the first moto kept me out of the top five, but I was able to charge through the pack in the second moto to end the day with a fifth overall. That's my first top five of the outdoor season, really happy with all the changes we made. I'm really looking forward to these last two rounds now!"
