cross Champions over the 102
motos that were held. CN

In the two Supermini classes,
Seth Hammaker (Kawasaki) took
the title in SM 1 (12-15) and Joe
Shimoda (KTM) in SM 2 (13-
16). Hammaker and Shimoda
swapped 1-2 positions in both
shoulder, ran Bostard wide in
a turn, putting Bostard to the
ground and back into 21st place.
While Wagner led, Bostard
put in an outstanding charge
through the pack. By the sec-
ond-to-last lap, he had caught
both Wagner and second-
place Barry McCarty (KTM)
and passed them both in quick
order. A tiring Wagner also gave
way to McCarty, making the final
finishing order Bostard, McCarty
and Wagner.
After the race, Wagner and
Bostard shook hands. "I had to
do what I had to do and rode him
dirty," Wagner admitted. "But he
was just faster than me."
"It was such a roller-coaster,"
said Bostard. "I'm not going to
quit and I didn't."
McCarty was happy with
third, saying he broke a rib in
