"You've got to finish races before you can win
or even get on the podium"
Archives: Doug Toland
Doug Toland was a hero and
now a legend all the way down
here in Alabama. Reading this
article makes me want to ride.

Not since Ryan Villopoto and
Ricky Carmichael have I seen a
rider cut through riders like that
[second 450MX moto]. Ken
Roczen makes unbelievable
moves. At 22 years old, he's
just starting to enter his prime.
Doesn't bode well for the com-
petition. I'm pretty sure even
Ryan Dungey wouldn't have an
answer for this guy.
Terry Heath
[Cooper] Webb pushing J-Mart
[Jeremy Martin] off the track
at his home track?! If I were
Martin, I would have a chat with
Mr. Webb after that moto and it
would never happen again.
Confidence and ego play
such a big part of racing at
that level and you cannot get
pushed around if you want
to have any chance. And the
Yamaha guys have to pit out of
the same truck! What would
Bob Hannah say?
Carl Leguia
Than was impressive! The way
Ken Roczen came through the
pack those first few laps of the
second moto was amazing!
And he did it with a tweaked
shift lever! The guy is in a
league of his own right now.
It's good to see James
Stewart back on the track, but I
would've liked to see him finish
both motos. He's getting too
used to just pulling off the track
when things aren't going just
right for him. He's got to suck
it up and finish races, even
if you're not in the top 10 or
20. You've got to finish races
before you can win or even get
on the podium.

Since I don't watch the races
on TV, I have to wait until I see
the results on the internet.
Then I saw that Crutchlow got
second place, I thought what
happened?
These freaking wet-drying
track races for me just suck. It
looks like some testing needs
to be done with the intermedi-
ate tire.
Jim Clausen
Dungey's Second
ESPY Award
He is the best representative
motocross could have. Great
job.

Damon Bradshaw
[The Full Gas Sprint Enduro]
was not Damon Bradshaw's
first ever off-road race. He
raced the Idaho City Two-Day
Qualifier in the late '90s or
early 2000s.
