pulled out to a comfortable lead. At the same point in the race, Savatgy had only managed to move up to 10th. As has been the case in recent races, Webb began mak- ing moves as the laps moved on. Just past halfway, he went by McElrath's teammate Mitch Oldenberg and Savatgy's rookie teammate (and fastest qualifier) Austin Forkner, and also got by McElrath when he crashed out of third place. Now fourth, Webb immediately chased down teammate Plessinger, and then set out after another of Savatgy's teammates, Arnaud Tonus, who was running second. When Webb moved into sec- ond with five laps to go, he sat about nine seconds behind his teammate Jeremy Martin. Martin ended up winning the moto—his third moto victory of the season— by just 1.3 seconds over Webb. "I'm sure people were saying some stuff in the beginning of the season, but we're slowly get- ting better and I'm starting to feel VOL. 53 ISSUE 27 JULY 12, 2016 P95 like I did in 2015," Jeremy Martin said. "I'm smiling, I'm more posi- tive and everything is going in the right direction." Webb was relatively satisfied as well. "I didn't get a great start," Webb said.
