f you were a passing
visitor to Laguna Seca,
you could be forgiven for
thinking the MotoAmerica
FIM North American Road
Racing Championship was
the main attraction across
the World Superbike week-
end; such was the quality
and intensity of the racing
in the Superbike and Su-
perstock 1000 classes.
Josh Hayes and Cam-
eron Beaubier made it a
red-letter day for the boys
in blue with a Superbike
win apiece, Claudio Corti
and Josh Herrin shared
the spoils in a contro-
versial Superstock 1000
weekend, JD Beach
clawed back ground on his
teammate Garrett Gerloff
in the Supersport category
while Ashton Yates pulled
a surprise victory in a typi-
cally hectic KTM RC Cup
event.
Josh Hayes
proved there's
plenty of fight
in the old guy
yet with a
brilliant win
in race two at
Laguna Seca,
his 60th AMA
Superbike
race win.
