MOTOCROSS LUCAS OIL AMA PRO MOTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND 7 / JULY 9, 2016 SOUTHWICK, MASSACHUSETTS / THE WICK 338 P90 450MX Roczen could have literally stayed home for the Southwick round and still left Massachu- setts with the championship points lead. With 53 points in-hand at the halfway point of the series, the championship is completely Roczen's to lose. But that doesn't mean Tomac and the rest of the 450cc field are going to roll over for the points leader. Autotrader.com/ Monster Energy/JGR Yamaha's Justin Barcia was down in the first turn with a grip of other racers, including Josh Grant's replacement teammate Tyler Bowers (Monster Energy Kawa- saki), Yoshimura Suzuki's Blake Baggett and more. As has become a habit for Roczen, he went to work im- mediately and began making ag- gressive moves toward the front of the pack and rounded the first lap in fourth, two spots in front of Tomac. Bogle led early in front of Red Bull KTM's lone ranger Marvin Musquin, Rockstar Justin Bogle (19) has been tearing up the starts lately. He went on to finish a career- high fourth in the first 450MX moto. (He crashed out of the second moto.)
