The concept behind the Slate jacket was to take Pilot's
successful Direct Air mesh jacket, and boil it down to
its most basic essence for an affordable performance
jacket. It is constructed of 210D Micro Mesh and has
600D NPF panels at the shoulders and elbows. The seams
are triple- and double-stitched, and the backpad can
be upgraded to a Pilot Core T2 CE-approved pad. It has
3M Scotchlite "Dark" Strips for nighttime visibility, and
comes in black.

Instead of separate waterproof liners, Held's
AeroSec jacket comes equipped with these liners
built in. When the AeroSec jacket is in warm-
weather mode, the waterproof liner remains zipped
up and affixed to the inside of the jacket, tucked
away between the rider's back and the jacket,
allowing ventilation. In weatherproof mode, the
liner is unzipped and snapped into place, to protect
from cold and wet conditions. The jacket also
includes SAS-TEC Level 2 armor in the shoulders
and elbows.
