or the first time in the history of AMA Pro
Flat Track, the series paid a visit to Okla-
homa City's Remington Park – a Thor-
oughbred Racing Facility/Casino – and despite
scorching heat and humidity, race fans filled the
enclosed, air-conditioned grandstands, the tem-
porary bleachers, and the hillsides surrounding
the beautiful facility and the sandy mile oval.

Lightning flashed in the distance as the 25-lap
Harley-Davidson GNC1 presented by Vance &
Hines National blasted off the line.
