IN THE WIND P38 TES ARE COMING! M ore two-strokes! Husky officially an- nounced that it will import three ad- ditional two-stroke off-road models for 2017. They are the updated TE 250 and TE 300, and a brand new TE 150, and they are all de- signed more for trail and woods riding than the more race-orientated TX line that was introduced a few weeks earlier. The TE 150 replaces the former TE 125. All of the two- stroke TE models are technically designated as "closed-course" bikes. Husky has not released much detailed technical information about the bikes, but did claim that they are lighter. They appear to have many changes, like all-new plastic and headlight, new Xplor 48 forks and a new engine. The TE retains rear linkage suspension. Cycle News already has plans to ride the three TE models in Swe- den next month. CN Husqvarna plans to bring three TE two-stroke off-road models into North America for 2017. The trail- ready TE 150 (pictured), 250 and 300s, however, will be designated as closed-course models. HUSKY FES GOES STREET- LEGAL H usqvarna's FE line of 2017 off-road- ers now makes up the company's dual sport line, and has expanded to four models: FE 250, FE 350, FE 450 and FE 501. The "S" designation of the previous dual sport range has been dropped for 2017. The previous dirt- only FE models—the FE 501 and FE 350—have also been eliminated. So Husky is now offering three basic ranges of off-road bikes: The "X" range (FX four-stroke and TX two-stroke) closed-course (GNCC) range, the TE two-stroke enduro (closed-course) range, and the FE (four-stroke) street-legal/enduro range. The FEs are heavily changed, featuring new frames and motors based on the FC motocrossers that received big updates in 2016. The FEs feature composite carbon-fiber frames, WP Xplor 48 forks, and link-mounted rear suspension. The FEs will be available in the fall of 2016. Prices have yet to be announced. CN The FE is now Husky's dual-sport (street-legal) line. No longer is there a "green sticker" line, just closed-course (TX, FX and TE) and street-legal (FE).
