MOTO DOFFO WINERY HOSTS 3
RD
ANNUAL
KURT CASELLI FOUNDATION FUNDRAISER
S
hoot for the stars! That's
likely the motto the Kurt Ca-
selli Foundation (KCF) adopted
when setting its goal for the 3rd
Annual MotoDoffo Winery KCF
Fundraiser at the Doffo Winery
in Temecula, California, June 11.
With a number items for
purchase or up for auction—
and proceeds benefitting the
Foundation's off-road rider
safety as well as its scholar-
ship programs—a large crowd
of motorcycle enthusiasts filled
the grounds of this decidedly
moto-friendly winery. Limited
edition bottles of Kurt Caselli
Foundation Doffo wine sold out
in a matter of minutes, with Ivan
Ramirez outbidding the crowd
for the one-of-a-kind
double-magnum bottle.
The event also marked
a milestone for the KCF
scholarship program.
Carolyn Caselli (sister of
Kurt) awarded the Foun-
dation's first scholarship
of $2500 to Star Savage
at the event. "We worked
with MMI last year as
partners and gave them
money to use for their
existing scholarships, but
this was our first scholar-
ship winner using our own
application and judging cri-
teria," Carolyn described.
Along with wine, food
and live music, the event
also saw a number of
vendors and activities, including
Geoff Aaron's trials demo. Nu-
merous items up for auction and
raffle helped raise thousands of
dollars for KCF.
As Quinn Cody stated, "Our
goal was [$30,000]. We haven't
totaled it up yet, but I think we
are pretty close if not past that."
Exact figures are still being
calculated at this time, but Nan-
cy Caselli confirmed they had,
indeed, topped the $30,000
mark. She added that in total-
ing up the cash from the event,
there were exactly 66 $20 bills.
