ichael Dunlop (Hawk Racing BMW)
has recorded the fastest lap in history
at the Isle of Man in the Superbike TT on
Saturday, clocking an astounding lap of
133.393 mph on his way to victory over Ian
Hutchinson (Tyco BMW) and John McGuin-
ness (Honda).
And it was not just the single lap record
that was smashed, with the race being run
an incredible 1:15.643 seconds faster than
in 2015.
It was an amazing start to this year's TT
festival after a week of practice in which Ian
Hutchinson broke the unofficial lap record
in practice on his Superstock machine,
clocking a 132.632 mph flier in near per-
fect conditions on the mountain.
Hutchinson would twice have his re-
venge on Dunlop, however, taking a win in
