III FRIENDLY FIRE

or the past year, and
especially the past few
months, my body has been
reminding me that everything my
doctor warned me about was
true. Don't worry, I'm not go-
ing to bore you with a bunch of
whiny crap about my aches and
pains, I'm just saying if I sound
a little pissy, it's because it feels
like there's a dagger in my right
kidney that twists whenever I
blink my eyes or breathe. Okay,
here we go…
I went to Hangtown for the
season opener and it was a
real pleasure, kind of like one
of those weekend cruises to
Ensenada. I had no hard card,
no deadline, no story to write,
no swag to get signed…just a
fan with a Super Ticket. The
weather was perfect, the track
was awesome and it may have
been the first time I've gone to
a National motocross race with
no agenda, responsibilities, or
stress. NorCal legend, Danny
