VOL. 53 ISSUE 20 MAY 24, 2016 P53 The 125 and 150 SX two-stroke MXers, which got new engines last year, have been fitted with the AER 48 forks, and there is now a 150 XC-W, which replaces the 200. The entire XCF-W line has been abandoned. Also new to the 2017 KTM lineup is the 250 EXC-F dual sport bike, which joins the 350 and 500 EXC-Fs, which have been significantly updated for '17, as well. Besides getting new forks, the big-bike four-stroke motocrossers all have traction control, which senses wheelspin when the throttle is quickly opened. There is a map switch on the handlebar that activates the traction control and launch control, for "enhanced traction for the start, middle and end of the race," explains KTM. The big news in KTM's off-road department is that the 250 and 300 XCs get the same engine mods as the new 250 SX. Much emphasis went into reducing engine vibration.
